New Release of MySQL Cluster (4.1.10a) is Now Available

With release 4.1.10a MySQL is shipping a substantially improved version of MySQL Cluster. This release includes:

  • Improved stability and code quality
  • Downloadable server binaries that are easier to install and have been tested on several popular Linux platforms
  • Additional management and administration tools in binary (RPM) form for easy installation
  • Improved MySQL Cluster documentation that simplifies installation, and multi-node configuration

MySQL Cluster is included in the MySQL 4.1 Max build.

New Release of MySQL Community Edition (4.1.11) is Now Available

This is a maintenance release of the 4.1 version, mainly fixing recently discovered bugs. This release includes:

  • ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY no longer is included in the ANSI composite SQL mode.
  • mysqld_safe will create the directory where the UNIX socket file is to be located if the directory does not exist. This applies only to the last component of the directory pathname.
  • The coercibility for the return value of functions such as USER() or VERSION() now is ``system constant'' rather than ``implicit.''
