A new MySQL certification level was unveiled during the MySQL Users Conference in San Jose. The MySQL Professional Certification is now available as a Beta certification test
After a long time in development, the MySQL Professional exam is now available in a Beta release. The Professional Certification is aimed at the expert user with many months of experience using, managing and optimizing MySQL installations and queries, using InnoDB features, etc.
You can read more about the Professional Certification exam on http://www.mysql.com/certification/candguide/sec-prof.html (http://www.mysql.com/certification/candguide/sec-prof.html)
When a certification exam is released as Beta, the certification candidate is presented with more questions than will appear on the final version of the exam. More time is granted to answer each question, and it is sold at a lower price than the final version.
Candidates must pass the MySQL Core Certification exam before they can obtain credit for the Professional exam.
