• LOAD DATA To Be or Not To be LOCAL?
  LOAD DATA INFILE introduced in MySQL 3.20.7 is one of most often used and the fastest way to load data into MySQL database. Keyword LOCAL was introduced in MySQL 3.22.6 to allow using LOAD DATA with file on Client-side filesystem, which added flexibility well appreciated by both Users and Database Administrators. With using LOCAL User does not need any access to server except for MySQL connection.

  LinuxTag 2002, the biggest Free Software event in Europe is being held in Karlsruhe, Germany from Thursday, June 6th to Sunday, 9th. MySQL AB will be exhibiting at LinuxTag. We will also be supporting the LAMP booth and are presenting or participating in a series of community workshops. LinuxTag is an important event for the business and Free Software/Open Source communities. The presence of both communities creates a dynamic environment for the exchange and growth of ideas.
